This page is devoted to the 1951 Lightspeedster. Steve has just acquired this car.

The Lightspeedster is a one-off custom car built in the very early 1950's.  The car has a fiberglass body and is built on a modified ford chassis. Power is from a modified ford flathead V-8.

Little is know of the car's history from time of it's original build until to 1970.  It is thought to have been built in the san francisco bay area.  in 1970 vern tardel of santa rosa bought the car because he liked the nicely built ford flathead. the engine was removed and the car was stored outside for many years.  The car then passed to co-owners bruce glascock/nancy garner for a short period before Geoff hacker purchased the car in 2010.  steve aquired the car in 2023.
